THE WAY BACK / REPAIR DESK
Repair deserves
a better rhythm.
A clear, responsive repair desk. From first intake to the next good handoff.
TUESDAY / WORKSHOP DESK
Keep good things
in motion.
A clear next step for every repair.
NEW REPAIR / 01
Start with the essentials.
One clear path.
- Capture the item and problem.
- Inspect and prepare an estimate.
- Hold for customer approval.
- Repair, test and mark ready.
PRODUCT UI + RESPONSIVE BUILD
A desk that makes
the handoff visible.
Design decisions
Cobalt marks the next action. Status names say what is happening, not just a colored dot. A desktop board supports scanning; on a phone, repairs become a readable list and intake stays one task at a time.
Beyond the default screen
Search has an empty state. Invalid intake stays in the form. Successful intake adds a retained local ticket. Detail dialogs let a user inspect the repair and move its status without silently messaging anyone.
PRODUCT STORY / ABOVE THE ASK
A queue screen becomes the whole first handoff.
The brief
A clear ticket list for a small repair studio. Inspection, approval and collection each need a visible next step.
What we added
New-repair intake, validation, searchable empty states, item detail, status progression, local persistence, reset, phone layout and clear status progression.
Why it helps
The extra flow answers what happens before and after the list: capture, inspect, wait, repair and collect. That is the difference between a screen and a usable first operations tool.
Evidence in this preview
Tested intake, reload persistence, empty search, detail status change and desktop/phone accessibility/overflow. Real users, backend permissions, notifications and payments remain future scoped work.
